Last week my family and I got away for our last summer trip of 2011 to Newport and Laguna Beach. There is nothing like being by the ocean. The sound of the water, sand everywhere, and a gentle warming breeze is just heaven. My favorite place that is a must every year is Balboa Island. I love this Island with the quaint and charming homes, stores and restaurants. One simple pleasure of mine is a Balboa Ice Cream Bar....so rich, creamy and oh so Yummy! Something about simple living at the beach that is so enriching to my soul.
